This is a high acceleration, brushless linear motor driven, XZ positioning stage gantry for controlled dual axis motion profiles of customer supplied payloads. The vertical axis dual rail stage (DRS) is a closed loop positioning system that can be used for high force positioning applications. It can generate a continuous/peak force of 200 lbs [888 N]/600 lbs [2664 N] with a total stroke length of 10 in [254 mm]. The horizontal axis dual rail stage (DRS) is a closed loop positioning system that can be used for low to medium force positioning applications. It can generate a continuous/peak force of 13 lbs [58 N]/39 lbs [173 N] with a total stroke length of 3.50 in [88.9 mm]. Each axis incorporates non-contact 1.0-micron resolution encoders allowing for precise positioning, guided by rigid recirculating linear ball bearing blocks and rails. Dual shock absorbing dampers are incorporated into the vertical axis to protect the stage and payload in the event of power failure. The custom mounting stands allows the customer to place the XZ positioning system in their desired space. It also allows to cleany place the system fully integrated electronics in a protected space. A home positioning sensor, end-of-travel-sensors, and custom mounting holes on the moving table are available upon request.
