The VMS30-090-LB-1 voice coil positioning stage uses H2W voice coil motor NCM30-25-090-2LB to generate a continuous/peak force of 9.0 lbs [40.1 N]/27.0 lbs [120 N] with a total stroke length of 3.0 in [76.2 mm]. The 1.0-micron resolution encoder allows for precise positioning. It comes supplied with a rigid recirculating ball bushing linear bearing. The motor shaft is the moving part of the assembly so that there are no moving (flexing) cables in the system. This also reduces the moving mass of the system.
