The VMS10-020-LB-12 voice coil positioning stage uses H2W voice coil motor NCM10-15-020-2LB to generate a continuous/peak force of 2.0 lbs [8.9 N]/6.0 lbs [26.6 N] with a total stroke length of 1.0 in [25.4 mm]. The 12.0-micron resolution encoder allows for accurate positioning. It comes supplied with a rigid recirculating ball bushing linear bearing. The motor shaft is the moving part of the assembly so that there are no moving (flexing) cables in the system. This also reduces the moving mass of the system.
