The VMS06-008-LB-01 voice coil positioning stage uses H2W voice coil motor NCM06-08-008-2IB to generate a continuous/peak force of 1.12 lbs [5.0 N]/3.36 lbs [15.0 N] with a total stroke length of 0.60 in [15.2 mm]. The 1.0-micron resolution encoder allows for precise positioning. It comes supplied with a sliding contact linear bearing. The motor shaft is the moving part of the assembly so that there are no moving (flexing) cables in the system. This also reduces the moving mass of the system.
