Voice Coil Positioning Stage, VCS40-020-CR-01-MF
The VCS40-020-CR-01-MF voice coil positioning stage uses H2W voice coil motor NCC52-20-020-1X to generate a continuous/peak force of 2.0 lbs [8.9 N]/6.0 lbs [26.7 N] with a total stroke length of 5.2 in [132 mm]. The 1.0-micron resolution encoder allows for precise positioning. It comes supplied with a high accuracy crossed roller bearing. The motor coil is the moving part of the assembly in order to reduce the moving mass of the system. Power is supplied to the motor via a high flex, high reliability flat ribbon cable. The voice coil motor has been mounted to the side of the bearing assembly in order to reduce the overall height and length of the system. This voice coil positioning stage has been manufactured using low-outgassing materials as selected by NASA in order to make it vacuum compatible.
