The VCS13-108-LB-01-M voice coil positioning stage uses H2W voice coil motor NCC13-30-108-1H to generate a continuous/peak force of 10.8 lbs [48.0 N]/32.4 lbs [144 N] with a total stroke length of 1.3 in [31.8 mm]. The 1.0-micron resolution encoder allows for precise positioning. It comes supplied with dual rigid recirculating ball linear bearings. The magnet housing is the moving part of the assembly so that there are no moving (flexing) cables in the system .
