The VCS10-046-BS-01-M voice coil positioning stage uses dual H2W voice coil motors NCC10-15-023-1X to generate a combined continuous/peak force of 4.6 lbs [20.4 N]/13.8 lbs [61.4 N] with a total stroke length of 1.0 in [25.4 mm]. It utilizes dual motors in order to double the force capability without having to integrate a single larger size motor. This helps reduce the overall size of the system. The 1.0-micron resolution encoder allows for precise positioning. It comes supplied with a ball slide which allows for smooth motion. The magnet housing is the moving part of the assembly so that there are no moving (flexing) cables in the system.
