Understanding Accuracy and Repeatability

Accuracy: the measure of discrepancy between the expected (or desired) position and the actual position. This is also commonly known as position error. Please refer to diagram below.

Repeatability: the discrepancy between two approaches of the motor to a desired position. Please refer to diagram below.

Repeatable and accurate: when a motor can reach the expected position consistently. Please refer to diagram below.
