Product Info:
Motors:
The servomotors series ADT-L and ADT-K are "brushless DC motors", electronically
commutated synchronous motors for applications requiring high dynamic and accuracy
as well as compact dimensions. NdFeb permanent magnets have been applied onto
the rotor of the 6-pole-motor. These highly remanent magnets feature strong magnetic
flux resulting in a very impressive dynamic while achieving a very compact design
of the motor. The stator incorporates three-phase windings in "star connection".
The commutation and the sinusoidal current control is performed by a servo control
amplifier using resolver signals of the motor. Encoder feedback is optional.
The maximum winding temperature is monitored by sensors. Standard is a thermal switch; PTC or NTC sensors are optional. The standard winding layout fits for bus voltage 320 VDC and 560 VDC, however special windings are available on request. One socket connects the windings and the brake; a second socket interfaces the resolver signals.
Depending on the space available the long or the short version of the motor can be chosen.
Resolver:
The resolver is a sensor, which continuously measures the angle position of the
rotor of the motor. It incorporates a transformer for energizing the two coils
which are 90 deg. phase shifted. The sensing coils on the stator receive the
sinusoidal signal of the transmitting coils. Depending on the rotating position
the Amplitude will alter accordingly. Thus, evaluating the amplitude of the two
receiving coils the resolver delivers an absolute position within one revolution.
This information is being used to determine the sinusoidal driving current for
the three motor windings the actual velocity generating encoder signals by the
servo amplifier to be utilised by the position control loop.
The resolver does not incorporate any electronic component. It is very robust and has a high temperature range and shock resistance due to its design. The resolver is the most reliable sensor for harsh environments.
Brake:
Both motor series can be delivered with a brake, which is being mounted behind
the front flange. The brake is designed with permanent magnets. The attractive
force is compensated by the magnetic flux generated by a coil supplied with
24 VDC +- 10%. In this condition the motor can rotate freely. To brake, the
coil current is to switch off. Braking should be executed only after the rotation
stopped except for emergency situations. Positioning should be performed by
the motor and the servo amplifier.
Gearboxes:
Planetary reducers can be easily interfaced on the standard flange dimensions
of the motors.
